Digital sites

Digital development is vital for JP/Politikens Hus, and the Group has made substantial investment in digital activities on the Internet and in the mobile area in recent years.

The main dailies Ekstra Bladet, Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten and Politiken are all market leaders on the Internet and mobile platforms and are the backbones of the Group’s digital position. The daily newspapers are involved in a series of the Group’s other digital operations such as Jobzonen, BilZonen and Turengaartil.dk. The focus on online television has been intensified in 2009 with a view to further developing ekstrabladet.tv, JP TV and Politiken TV.

JP/Politikens Hus owns a number of digital niche sites:

FORBRUGERLIV is Denmark’s first online consumer club. The site develops and manages member benefit programmes enabling private consumers to obtain attractive shopping terms, including rebates on their personal online purchases. Forbrugerliv has entered into cooperation agreements with numerous partners wishing to sell their products at a discount to members of Forbrugerliv’s member database.

JOBZONEN is a job portal owned by JP/Politikens Hus, TV 2 and Berlingske Media. Jobzonen establishes contact between advertisers and candidates, active and passive job seekers through the company’s collaboration with leading online and print media at the national, regional and local level.

BILZONEN is an Internet portal for everybody with an interest in cars, but it is primarily an online marketplace for buying and selling second-hand vehicles. BilZonen also includes Denmark’s most comprehensive catalogue of new cars as well as news and reviews from Auto Bild, Berlingske Tidende and Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten.

PORTAL DANMARK operates a range of sites and also includes competences in graphic layout for the Internet, website development, operation and hosting, website analysis and optimisation, media planning, counselling in connection with Internet advertising and sale of advertising slots on the Internet.

TURENGAARTIL is Denmark’s largest travel site. The foundation of the site is the well-known “Turen går til” series of travel guidebooks from POLITIKENS FORLAG, but the site also offers inspiration for new destinations, search machines for plane tickets, hotels, packaged tours and travel guides. There is also an opportunity for users to share their holiday experiences with others through uploading photos etc.
