National free tabloids
Denmark’s largest supplier of free tabloids is MetroXpress A/S. Since mid-May 2008, MetroXpress has published metroXpress and 24timer which, overall, have a readership of more than one million each. JP/Politikens Hus is co-owner of MetroXpress A/S, owning 24.5%. The free tabloid market in Denmark further includes Urban that is published by Berlingske Media.

Local newspapers
Politikens Lokalaviser, a wholly owned subsidiary of JP/Politikens Hus, publishes 70 titles in Denmark and Sweden. In recent years, the company has experienced comprehensive growth and is currently among the largest suppliers of local newspapers in the Øresund Region.
